Description

Grown by Brian Unrau on his organic farm near MacGregor Manitoba and milled/processed by Adagio Acres.  Perfect for refried beans, winter chili, and all things bean-y and delicious.  In a farm landscape full of soybeans, it’s quite rare to grow edible beans in Manitoba, and no small feat for a farmer as well, as our short summers are not always easy for beans.  So whenever the Unrau family has a successful crop, we’re there to scoop up whatever we can and bring it to Manitoba kitchens!

We are taking a break from grain milling to go on a bike-trip adventure with our kiddos!!!

Yay for us, but not so great for your porridge pots….we will not be filling website orders until we return in mid-March. If you do choose to place an order, we will keep it on hold and will get in touch after March 17th to arrange home deliveries or a pick-up location in Winnipeg. Additional grains from our winter CSA will also be available to order after we return.

In the meantime, our 9kg bags of oats are available at Stonewall Family Foods, Local Meats & Tasty Treats on St Anne’s Rd, Nature’s Farm in Steinbach, and can also be ordered through Fireweed Food Co-op or De Luca’s on McGillivray Ave. Thanks for your patience and understanding as we take some time away.
